At Bell, young learner group timetables are varied and dynamic. We combine English language learning with activities, sports and excursions, encouraging junior learners to use their English in all situations. Generally, students will have an average of 15 hours per week of class-based English language and/or subject-based tuition, although we tailor your course to match your group's requirements.
Yes. We can design courses around English language and/or subject tuition and our experienced academic team will plan content together with your group leaders to complement your school curriculum. Classroom work can also be designed in integration with excursions and academic visits. For example, a science-based timetable may include a visit to the Science Museum in London and a geography-based timetable may include urban and coastal field trips.
We offer a wide range of subject-based courses including mathematics, biology, physics, chemistry, economics, geography and history. All our teachers are qualified specialists in their academic fields. We also offer expert English language tuition and preparation for English or subject-based exams such as IELTS, International Baccalaureate and IGCSE. Other features
Trips and visits to places of interest around the UK form an important part of a school group course, and these can be incorporated into the lesson plan. Full-day and half-day visits are included and could include days out in the world-famous city of London, punting and sightseeing in Cambridge or the nearby attractions of Hever Castle and the royal town of Tunbridge Wells.
Bell Bedgebury has a wide choice of on-site facilities. Young learners can enjoy sports and activities including tennis, arts and crafts, football, swimming, basketball, canoeing, abseiling, wall climbing, cycling, performing arts and a woodland rope course. Tell us what sports and activities you would like to include in your group timetable and we will try to arrange it.
We design a timetable to ensure that every evening is different for your group. After dinner, students can have computer time followed by activities such as karaoke, quiz nights, fashion shows, film and sports nights and much more.
Group leaders work closely with the Bell team to ensure the safety and security of students in the group. They accompany students on trips and attend all social activities. Group leaders are responsible for the students' welfare in their accommodation in the late evening and at night. They are also required to supervise children under 12 between lessons and activities. Other responsibilities include helping students contact home, accompanying students in need of medical attention, the safekeeping and distribution of pocket money and ensuring students abide by the rules of the course. Group leaders may have free time in the mornings when the students are in class and may use the study facilities or join adult groups for lessons, where appropriate, at our adult language centre.
A group leader accompanying a group of young learners to England will need to be:
For groups with two or more group leaders, there should be an appropriate balance of male and female staff to match the gender of the students on the course.
You will be eligible for one free group leader place for every 10 young learners in your group. This includes free accommodation and meals.
If your group is from an EEA country (European Economic Area) or are Swiss nationals, you will not require a visa to study in the UK. Non-visa nationals who don't need a visa in advance for less than six months, will get a visa on entry. For more information, please visit http://www.bell-centres.com/information/visas.asp. |
