Classroom-based tuition

• Combine English language and/or subject-based courses for your group.
• Select a subject or theme to explore through English, both in class and during excursions to places of interest. Previous topics have included Welcome to Britain and Global Citizenship.
• Bell offers English language tuition to prepare for exams including IELTS, IB and IGCSE, combining English language learning with subject knowledge.
• Select from a wide range of subject-based courses including mathematics, biology, physics, chemistry, economics, geography and history. Courses are designed to complement the class work that students are currently studying in their own school. For example, science lessons may include topics such as water, genetics or the environment, and history may include the Victorians or a history of London.
• Expert teachers help students to consolidate their subject learning and cover more of their syllabus, planned out in conjunction with the Group Leader to ensure all content is relevant.

Activities and excursions

All students have the opportunity to enjoy a wide range of sports and activities in the afternoons and evenings. Activities may include:

• Tennis, football, basketball
• Canoeing, swimming, cycling
• Abseiling, wall climbing, woodland rope course
• Arts and crafts, performing arts
• Karaoke, quiz nights and discos

We offer a range of excursions to places of interest around the UK such as London, Canterbury, Cambridge and Tunbridge Wells. Destinations can be chosen to match your group's interests or to support their classroom study.

Location and facilities

Bell Bedgebury is situated on a beautiful 220-acre country estate in Kent in the South East of England. It is close to the UK's main international airports - London Heathrow and London Gatwick - and to the Ebbsfleet Eurostar terminal and is conveniently located for visits to London.

Facilities include:

• Well-equipped classrooms and resource centre
• Climbing walls, tennis courts and outdoor pool
• Facilities for indoor and outdoor sports such as football, basketball, volleyball and hockey
• Canoeing lake and woodland obstacle course

Accommodation:

• On-site residential accommodation is provided in 3-10 bed dormitories
• Separate accommodation and bathroom facilities for boys and girls
• At least one member of staff for every six students
• Free weekly laundry service
