Step-by-step guide to applying for Comenius/Grundtvig funding

Step 1

Select the teacher development course which you would like to attend at Bell Teacher Campus 2012.

Step 2

Download details of your chosen course. These can be found on the appropriate course page and contain details of the course, dates and fees. Attach a copy of the course outline (PDF document) to your application.

Step 3

Contact Bell to obtain information about availability of places on your chosen course and register by either:

  • Completing the online registration form
  • Downloading the PDF registration form and returning to the contact details on the form. On the registration form, tick the box, 'If you are applying for an EU grant, please tick here'.
Step 4

Once you have registered, Bell will send you a provisional certificate of admission and an invoice. Attach a copy of these documents to your funding application.

Step 5

Apply to your National Agency for funding support to attend your chosen Bell course. Download the application form from your National Agency's website.

Step 6

Use Bell's 'Guide to completing your funding application'. The Comenius deadline is 15 January 2012, although deadlines may vary in different countries, so please check with your National Agency. We find that the earlier the application, the more likely it is you will receive a grant.

Step 7

After you've followed our 'Guide to completing your funding application', ensure you validate, print and sign a copy of the application form.

Step 8

Submit your completed application form by the deadline to your National Agency in your country. Send one original and two photocopied signed forms to your National Agency (although requirements may differ from country to country) and attach the following documents:

  • Provisional certificate of admission
  • Invoice
  • Bell course outline PDF

Remember to keep copies for your files.

Step 9

If your National Agency approves your application, please inform Bell as soon as possible by emailing teachercampus@bell-worldwide.com or calling +44 (0) 1223 212333. If you have not confirmed your place four weeks before the start of the course, we cannot guarantee your chosen course.

Step 10

If your National Agency declines your application, please inform Bell as soon as possible by emailing teachercampus@bell-worldwide.com or calling +44 (0) 1223 212333 to cancel your course. If you have not cancelled your place four weeks before the start of the course, you may be liable to pay full course fees.

Teacher development course timetable

Here is a typical week on one of Bell's teacher development courses. In addition to your chosen course lessons, you have the opportunity to attend a range of talks and workshops by trainers and plenary lectures by leading English language practitioners. Friday afternoons are free for you to explore Cambridge or go on on additional excursions.
