Outstanding learning resources and facilities
We provide excellent resources and facilities to support your child’s learning.

We have well-equipped classrooms in the most prestigious schools in the UK and Malta, a broad range of quality study materials (some specially produced by our own teachers) and IT centres offering the latest information technology plus free internet access.

All our schools offer a wide variety of sports and activities, such as arts and crafts, tennis and swimming.

Interactive language lessons
Your child’s language level is assessed on arrival and they will be placed in a class depending on their age, language level and maturity. All classes have a good mix of nationalities and the maximum class size is 14 in UK schools, and 12 in Malta.

Students work together to develop confidence and fluency in English. They leave their course with increased language knowledge, improved communication skills and a greater understanding of the English language and local culture.

On a Bell course students learn and practise English through projects, activities and study tours, as well as class-based language lessons. In this way they develop their English and communication skills, learn about Britain or Malta, and have fun at the same time.

Interesting places to visit
Study tours are an important part of each course and give students the opportunity to visit places of historical and cultural interest, such as London, Cambridge and Oxford (on UK courses) and the ancient cities of Mdina and Valletta (Malta).

Students prepare in class before they go and then use research from their study tours in their project work. The students are supervised at all times. Students staying on for a consecutive course get an extra full-day study tour between courses.

Recording achievements
Throughout their course, students record their achievements and learning experiences in a Bell language portfolio, which uses the Common European Framework Scales and is compatible with the European Language Portfolio. It includes a certificate of attendance and a ‘can do statement’, which students can use to show friends, family and teachers.

Creative, educational and fun
When children aren’t studying, they are enjoying fun activities such as pool parties, karaoke, treasure hunts, fashion shows and sports tournaments. Joining in with social activities is a great way for young learners to make new friends and practise their English in an enjoyable way.

Over 70 different nationalities
Your child will meet other children from all over the world, giving them a wonderful opportunity to learn about new cultures and different countries. Last year we welcomed around 70 different nationalities across our courses.

Exceptional levels of safety, security and student care
We take great care to ensure children feel welcome and happy at all times. We provide comprehensive supervision from the moment we collect them at the airport until they go home again. Our schools are safe and secure and medical staff are always on call. On-site, there is at least one member of Bell staff for every six children and all staff have been
police-checked.

High standards of teaching
Our teachers are fully-qualified and provide the highest standards of English language teaching. We regularly monitor your child’s progress and small classes ensure they receive individual attention.

All our Young Learner courses have fixed start dates. Fixed start dates mean that students stay with the same classmates and teacher for the duration of their course, and that our staff get to know each child individually. This allows students to build stronger relationships with those around them, giving them a greater sense of well-being and security.
