A new concept in teaching Young Learners
Project UK offers tailor-made English language courses for groups of children from the same school.
Courses take place at Bell International in the UK to help young learners use the English they have learnt at school, in real life English-speaking environments.
Project UK courses are for groups of children from the same school, aged between 8-17 years. The length of the programme can be from 1-10 weeks, and for groups of 10-60 children depending on your requirements.
- Tailor-made courses
Courses are designed to complement the classwork students are currently doing in their own country. The content is planned together with the Group Leader and includes topics that are linked to the school curriculum. For example, Science (water, genetics, the impact of humans on the environment) or History (the Victorians, a history of London, the British empire).
This allows students to consolidate and extend work being covered in their syllabus, in accordance with the principles of CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning).
- Integrated Study Programme
Project UK provides a fully integrated study programme which includes tuition, study tours and a fantastic range of social activities.
Academic visits are connected to the topic being studied. For example, a visit to the British Science Museum in London or the university colleges of Cambridge.

- Motivating and rewarding
On a Project UK course, children experience real use of English in an English-speaking environment, bringing the language to life. They work on interesting content through the medium of English, and study tours allow them to discover British culture.
A range of fun activities, such as Arts & Crafts, quiz nights, and discos, is provided in the afternoons and evenings so that students are involved in learning and practising their English from breakfast until bedtime.

- Exceptional levels of safety, security and student care
Accommodation is arranged at the Bell International centre in Bedgebury. The centre provides a safe and secure environment and medical staff are always on call. On-site, there is at least one member of staff for every six students, and all staff have been police-checked. All activities are supervised.
Your role as Group Leader
Group Leaders are expected to assist with the pastoral welfare and supervision of the students, and to go on all excursions. Group Leaders usually have free-time in the mornings when the students are in class, and may use the Bell International study facilities, or join adult groups for lessons where appropriate.

We also provide tailor-made English language courses for teachers groups, groups of adults studying general English, and groups who require English for specific purposes. Click here for more information.

This is what one teacher from Greece had to say about her Project UK experience:
"… the professionalism of the Director and the staff at Bell combined with their sincere desire to create a meaningful cultural and personal experience for their students, makes Bell a very special place.
Their manner is excellent and they are very skilful at making lessons enjoyable and interesting … my students always enjoy a wide range of sports and other leisure activities, a full and varied entertainment programme and a selection of fascinating excursions. That's why we keep going back and I continue to recommend Bell to friends and colleagues."
