English Teacher Courses in Homerton

Social Activities

To add to your cultural and social experience in Cambridge there will be an exciting range of activities available to you, which will increase your overall enjoyment of the courses.

Cambridge is an outstanding place to be in the summer. There are many cultural events that take place in the evenings and at the week-ends. At the beginning of each week you will be given a ‘What’s On in Cambridge’ sheet with details of events, venues and prices. There will be a welcome party on Sunday evening and other communal events such as a pub visit during your stay. You can also sign up for additional events such as:

  • a punting trip down the River Cam along the ‘backs’ of the famous colleges
  • or a guided tour of the paintings in the Fitzwilliam Museum
  • or an evening visit to one of London’s theatres
  • or a cream tea in the pretty village of Granchester, made famous by the poem written by Rupert Brooke which ends:
Stands the Church clock at ten to three?
And is there honey still for tea?
