Jim Scrivener

We offer a wide variety of courses including separate Language and Methodology Refresher courses for those who teach Young Learners or Secondary/Adults students. There are also more specialised courses for teachers who want to gain expertise in a new area.

All courses will run subject to a minimum number of 6 participants.

The academic programme will be coordinated by Jim Scrivener of Bell Educational Trust, well-known teacher trainer, conference speaker and author of Learning Teaching. Courses will be delivered by the Bell team.

In addition there will be outside guest speakers such as Adrian Underhill, Tim Bowen, John McRae, Jeremy Harmer and Mary Spratt. Guest speakers are leading practitioners in English teaching and training, with a wealth of experience; many are published authors on their specialist topics. On some courses you will be able to take Cambridge ESOL exams at the end of the course (Get the TKT, Teaching Content and Language, Teaching Business English).

Teacher Development Courses

You can choose from 12 courses, which run for two weeks. Each course starts on Monday morning and finishes on a Friday evening. Why not develop your own programme by combining one or more courses? Click on the course title for full details.
