Special Groups EFL & TEFL

Bell has for many years offered institutions, organisations and groups from the same country or area a Special Group arrangement.

These group courses can be for general English students, teachers groups or groups which need English for a special purpose.

Examples of special groups

  • 34 Austrian students who came to improve their listening and speaking skills,
  • 15 Thai teachers who followed a training course to teach English in primary schools,
  • 14 Swiss students who wanted to prepare for the First Certificate exam,
  • 12 African air traffic controllers who needed the specific language for their job.

Special Group advantages

  • we can adapt the timetable to match your precise needs (eg: a special focus on speaking and listening, specific exam preparation, English with a business focus, going out on academic trips)
  • you can come for the length of time you like (although we do tend to work in weeks)
  • we can often offer a discount on our intensive English prices depending on the number of students coming and the time of year
  • we can include extras such as airport transfer which is not available to our general English students
  • accompanying teachers or group leaders are welcome and, depending on the numbers, will usually be given a free place

In some cases students on special group courses have been able to integrate or partially integrate with the general English courses. This option, however, is usually only available if the period of time coincides with course dates and if there aren't too many students at the same level.
