Course details

The programme combines English language tuition, intensive IELTS exam preparation and academic training. In addition, you will learn about life in Britain and what is expected of you when studying a Masters degree at a UK university, including essential IT and numeracy skills.

Successful completion of a first degree is compulsory for this programme and your language level must be upper intermediate or above.

Course components

Intensive IELTS training (and GMAT on demand)
Prepare and practise for the IELTS exam to ensure you achieve the score you need for entry into a Masters Programme at a British university. Exam fees are included in your tuition costs and you will receive help enrolling for the exam. We can also arrange for GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) tuition on demand.

Advanced academic writing skills
Learn how to paraphrase and summarise, incorporate descriptive and narrative language into your arguments and write effective introductions and conclusions.

Presentation and seminar skills
Prepare and deliver regular presentations and learn how to communicate data effectively, to use signpost language, to clarify arguments and to respond to questions.

Academic listening and note-taking
Learn to identify main ideas, take notes and ask for clarification.

Research and study skills
Learn how to structure university research projects, report on your own research and use and write abstracts.

Information technology and numeracy skills
Develop your ability to plan and interpret data from a wide variety of sources, and to present findings and justify methods.

Life in Britain
